Description

Recognizing the need for safe removal of hazardous refuse from the vented containment systems, Flow Sciences offers a side mounted waste disposal chute (FS2070). On standard FSI enclosures manufactured after January 1, 2004, side ports are cut and plated for easy installation of the waste chute.

Constructed with the same tough, chemically resistant acrylic as Flow Sciences' enclosures, the inside and outside of the chute are easily cleaned and decontaminated. Mounted and sealed with acrylic screws, the chute can be detached from the enclosure for decontamination.

The opening of the chute is 12.7cm (5") in diameter to comfortably accommodate the researcher's hand. The 7.6cm (3") lipped chute extends only 6.4cm (2 1/2") from the enclosure allowing a downward sloping disposal while maximizing precious laboratory space. Most biohazard disposal bags can be easily fitted and removed.

Use the disposal chute to get rid of everything from used gloves to pipette tips and tissue scraps.
