Face Velocity Alarm (FS1645)

  • FS1645 Alarm comes standard on all enclosures
  • Alarm can be preset to sound between 30 and 150 Linear Feet per Minute depending on laboratory standard

Description

The Flow Sciences FS1645 Face Velocity Alarm is designed to continuously monitor air flow through Flow Sciences' enclosures. Once installed and calibrated, this programmable device provides both visual and audible alarms if flow is not maintained to the programmed parameters.

The air flow alarm is designed to be mounted either integrally on the exterior of the enclosure or on an adjacent surface with adhesive strips provided with the unit. The alarm module is connected by cable to the flow sensor, which is permanently attached to the base airfoil on the enclosure.

A green light on the front of the alarm indicates normal air flow conditions by measuring actual face velocity. If air flow deviates a programmed amount from the ideal conditions a red indicator light signals low flow. After a programmed period of time at these conditions (between 3 and 30 seconds), an audible alarm sounds.

Each Alarm System is powered by a 9 volt AC transformer that operates off 120 VAC. 230 VAC is also available.
