Top Mount Enclosure

Our Innovative Ventilated Balance Enclosure

Our Top Mount Enclosure (named after the top mounted HEPA filtration unit) provides a safe, stable working environment in most laboratory settings. This series offers containment for various benchtop/scale-up and nanotechnology applications. Internal plenums and mounted aerodynamic airfoils around the face opening ensure a smooth airflow pattern across the work surface, reducing eddies and turbulence. Third-party surrogate powder testing has proven exposure levels below 1μg/m3, based on process and quantity.

Process

The top mount enclosure can contain processes involving handling Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and other toxic materials where personnel protection is required.

Containment

Containment level is heavily dependent on the potency and quantity of the toxic material processed. This unit can contain a wide variety of OEL levels.

Design

The interior work space provides adequate containment for a variety of equipment including balances, ovens, FTIR, sieves, and more.

Utilizing innovative airfoil and plenum technology, this enclosure ensures a consistent and controlled laminar airflow. The exhaust system is positioned on the top and can be recirculated back into the room or exhausted out, depending on application. We offer dual-HEPA filtration options for USP <800> compliance.

This unit can be equipped with a face velocity alarm, providing both visual and audible alerts in case of airflow disruptions. The precise air velocity measurement at the face opening ensures accuracy.
